Private Residence – Miami Beach, Florida

Tasked with transforming the prominently placed, yet isolated dining room of this 1930’s Mediterranean-Revival-meets-Coral-Gables-style residence into an enticing social space, Studio RODA combined the home’s original French Art Deco roots with a contemporary, feminine cocktail lounge concept. The remodel began with the expansion of the room’s single window, which introduces the exterior landscape and welcomes natural light. A bespoke bar — featuring brass inlays and created in collaboration with a local millworker — informed the eclectic yet harmonious seating selection, which encircles a custom coffee table to promote conversation and conviviality.
