Nicknamed the “jewel box” by the Studio RODA team, Sunset Harbour VII is a compact yet luxurious Miami apartment that reflects the studio’s mastery of contemporary interior design. Spanning just 1,200 square feet, the space was designed for a European client who winters in Miami and needed a warm, functional retreat for time with family. Inspired by the efficient design of yacht cabins, the layout maximizes every inch. The living and dining areas merge fluidly, centered around a custom floating banquette and a striking lava stone table made in Naples. Hans Wegner chairs offer comfortable seating for six, sliding easily into place without overwhelming the room. Lighting is thoughtfully integrated and personal elements, like a painting of the client’s three children above the sofa, add warmth and intimacy. Every detail serves a purpose. A hidden desk behind the sofa nook, smart built-ins, and tailored furniture pieces offer both style and storage. The palette is serene, the finishes refined, and the functionality seamless. This Miami apartment redefines luxury through intelligent spatial design, clever storage, and a curated, contemporary approach to compact interiors.
